Holiday Depression


Due to the downfall of our economy, families are the hardest hit. I have seen families and children experience limitations that they never had before and this recession has tested relationships in ways they have never known. Another aspect of this season is to recognize the many people that experience "the winter blues" and its impact that contributes to many cases of seasonal depression.

Below are some tips that have come across my desk to share with you;

It's important to fight the winter blues and not let it take over. It leads to weight gain and fatigue. Schedule weekly activities and see your friends more.

There are financial limitations this Christmas. It is important to have family discussions, age appropriate, to help your children understand this because many children notice the family financial stresses on their own.
Sharing the impact and efforts to overcome this impact will help relieve their stress. Children can handle this involvement and also can help in many ways to cut costs.
Chores, less use of technology and family interactions like "game night" are less costly than going out. Making gifts for your children tend to have a sincere impact on children.
Making photo albums, scrapbooks of the years past achievements are great holiday ideas with less cost.
Holidays can bring a few unwanted pounds, therefore my best tip is to drink plenty of water before and after meals. Also right along with this be sure to limit your sugar intake. Sugar is the number one way to gain weight. Otherwise enjoy mealtimes and family sharing, but only one piece of pie please.
Sledding, ice skating, shoveling snow with cocoa, Christmas music, tree trimming and volunteering at local non-for-propfits are great holiday activities to combat holiday stress and winter blues. Memory making lasts forever and is significant to closer bonds. So get those holiday activites on the calendar!

suppose you composed a catchier title? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog, but suppose you added a post title that
makes people desire more? I mean Holiday Depression
is kinda boring. You could peek at Yahoo's home page and note how they create article
headlines to grab viewers interested. You might try adding a video or a pic or two to get readers excited about everything've written.
In my opinion, it would bring your posts a little livelier.
